| Gatecrasher Summer Music Festival brought to you by Soundscape hits South Africa in February 2012 for a spectacular outdoor international electronic music event at D’Aria Wine Estate in Durbanville Hills, Cape Town. Gatecrasher is an international clubbing brand made famous for its dance music events in the UK. The Gatecrasher Summer Music Festival takes place on the 4th and 5th of February 2012, featuring Paul Van Dyk and many other artists. This is a tourney to search for bands that fit the Firkin Centurion scene. The first round will be judged by our “First-round judges” whom will judge the band by their press pack. Each judge will be given 10 x bands press packs where they each will choose the two bands that they would like to see in the competition. Judges will vary between business people from the music industry as-well as professional musicians. Each band will be judged by two songs. The 20 chosen bands will play the semi-finals at Firkin Centurion and will be split up in 2 groups of 10 bands each to compete on either the 6th or the 13th of December 2011 for one of the 12 places in the final of the Firkin Summer Jam 2011 happening on 16 December 2011 . ( Bands must be able to do 60% covers & 40% originals for the finals) VERY IMPORTANT: All bands that enter this tourney must be available for the following dates if they are chosen to compete in the semi-finals and finals: 6, 13 and 16 December 2011.
